In this third entry of the series featuring John Deere machines doing what they do best, the focus is as much on education as it is on the fun of watching the big machines tractors, hay balers, cotton pickers, sprayers, and more at work. Viewers learn that the U.S. produces more food than any other country, with more corn grown than any other crop (followed by soybeans and wheat), occupying more than a billion acres from sea to shining sea. The program also points out that most young farmers are following the family tradition, and that about a third of those who till the soil today have attended college, which is not surprising, since modern agriculture requires knowledge of chemistry, weather, computers, and, of course, high-tech equipment.

John is an eighteen-year-old Latino male prostitute, living in the poorest area of Hollywood, L.A. He often steals condoms and medicine from the local stores to support himself, due to his inexperience in the hustling world. Peaches is a black trans prostitute, who often helps John financially. Miguel is an older hustler who teaches John how to please men. John often spends his night wandering through the street, looking for older men to buy him for the night. His clients, men who come from all levels of society, share with John their stories and secrets.

Delirious New Wick
London’s 2012 Olympic Park in Stratford is the epitome of contemporary masterplanning: the choreographed regeneration of a post-industrial area into an economically thriving zone centred on creative industries. The park itself contains iconic structures commissioned for the games: the Olympic Stadium, Velodrome and Anish Kapoor’s Orbit tower for the multinational steel conglomerate ArcelorMittal. Delirious New Wick explores the disjunction between the masterplan and the adjacent area of Hackney Wick, a place with an unusually high density of artist-run colonies. Teleporter Pavilions beam the player into inaccessible areas - up into the voids of Anish Kapoor’s tower and into the Velodrome flying over the town below. Here, the player can take a critic’s role, assessing the government-endorsed regeneration strategies as they witness conflicts between the area’s past and future.
